750 ml capped bottle, purchased at the brewery. Poured in the original Thiriez stemmed glass an unfiltered, light cloudy pink-amber-orange coloured Saison with half a finger faint pink-beige soapy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles.
Active carbonation. Some floating sediments. Poor lacing.
The aroma is yeast, pronounced herbal and floral notes, hibiscus, moderate malty and a barnyard touch.
The flavour is yeast, sweety malts, a caramel touch, marked floral and herbal tones, hibiscus and a spicy side, cinnamon, pepper.
The mouthfeel is crispy, thin and floral. The texture is watery.
This light to medium bodied Saison has a dry herbal and floral finish.
This Florida is a collaboration Beer between Brasserie Thiriez and Saint Somewhere Brewing, in Florida, USA. It' s fresh and well refreshing but never brings a real pleasure. On account of its selling price, Florida is overall, for me, a disappointement.
