330 ml capped long neck & bottle, purchased at the brewery. Poured in the original Ragnar stemmed glass an unfiltered, opaque and golden orange coloured Abbey Style Ale with a generous one finger fine, light beige and creamy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles.
Low carbonation. Good lacing.
The aroma is yeast,faint toasted malts and spicy, juniper.
The flavour is yeast, light toasted malts, marked honey tones, spicy, juniper and a peppery spot.
The mouthfeel is thick, creamy and sparkling. The texture is watery.
This medium to full bodied Abbey Style Ale has a dry, mild and rough finish so a nice warming continuation.
Easy drinkable, this La Jumièges from the young brewery Ragnar, located now in Oissel, in the S-E suburb of Rouen, in spite of a well proud 7,0 % ABV, offered an amazing mild palate. I enjoyed it.
