330 ml long neck capped bottle. Poured in the original Mélusine bulbous base and stemmed glass a clear and dark brown coloured Porter with a generous one finger fine, dense, creamy and beige foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles.
Low carbonation. Good lacing.
The aroma is faint toasted malts, roasted coffee beans, dark bitter chocolate and hints of caramel.
The flavour is similar to the nose, added notes of ashes and leather, and spicy, licorice, cinnamon.
The mouthfeel is creamy, quite thin, sparkling, velvety and smooth. The texture is watery.
This medium bodied French Porter is brewed with a blend of three grains : barley, buckwheat and spelt, and has a dry malty, coffeish and bitter finish.
This organic Nonnette is brewed in the départerment Vendée, Région Pays de Loire by the Brasserie Mélusine. It's easy drinkable and a pleasant mild French interpretation of an old English beer style.
