750 ml capped bottle, purchased at the brewery. Poured in the original Břevnovský Sklo an unfiltered, opaque and black coloured Porter with a two fingers fine, tan and creamy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Great lacing.
The aroma is powerful roasted malts, roasted coffee beans and dark bitter chocolate.
The flavour is roasted and burned malts, roasted coffee beans, dark chocolate, dark fruits, plums, berries and notes of ashes.
The mouthfeel is thick, fulled, creamy, bitter and smooth. The texture is oily.
This full bodied Porter has a lingering roasted malts and coffee beans finish.
This Benedict Porter, brewed in the once stables of the monastery, in Praha - Břevnov, is easy going, offered an inviting nose and a flavoured palate. I enjoyed it.

Von der kleinen Klosterbrauerei gibt es auch ein Porter. DIeses ist schön schwarz und hat eine angenehme Schaumkrone. Geschmacklich ist es fein bitter, wobei ich aber die große Bandbreite von Aromen vermisse, die manche Porter haben. Aber auf jeden Fall ein feines Bier.
