1 000 ml flip-top bottle, purchased at the brewery, 7 EBC. Poured in the original Sonnen -Bräu Willy becher an unfiltered, light murky and bright straw golden coloured Zwickel Pils with a two fingers soapy, fine and off-white foamy head that had a mid-sized retention and tons of micro bubbles.
Sustained retention. Some lacing.
The aroma is pale malts, hay, grassy hops and a fruity note, citrus.
The flavour is pale sweety malts, grassy hops, floral notes and juicy fruits, tangerine, citrus.
The mouthfeel is round, light fizzy. The texture is oily.
This light bodied Zwickel Pils has a long hoppy bitter finish.
This Zwickel Pils from Sonnen Bräu in Mürsbach, Landkreis Bamberg, Upper Franconia is easy drinkable and offered a long and assertive hoppy bitter finish. I enjoyed it.
