750 ml caged & corked bottle. Poured in an English noninck pint glass an unclear, opaque and dark dark-brown, close to black, coloured Stout with a generous two fingers, tan, dense, creamy and fine foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles.
Soft carbonation. Good alcing.
The aroma is deep roasted malts, roasted coffee beans, a smoked touch, sourish notes and a hoppy bitterness.
The flavour is aggressive sourish-bitter, roasted grainy malts, roasted coffee beans, black bitter chocolate, spicy, licorice and chicory, notes of ashes.
The mouthfeel is light crispy, quite thick, creamy, sparkling, sourish and bitter. The texture is watery.
This medium bodied Stout has a dry roasted malts and sourish-bitter finish.
Noire de Slack is brewed on the French Côte d' Opale, close to Calais, Région Hauts-de-France by the brewery des 2 Caps. The continual sourish-bitter feel all the tasting makes Noire de Slack not so easy drinkable. Overall a soft French interpretation of a Stout.
