330 ml long neck & capped bottle. Poured an unpasteurised, hazy and old copper or mid-brown coloured Smoked Ale with a two fingers fine, beige and creamy foamy head that had a mid-sized retention and tons of micro bubbles.
Soft carbonation. Good lacing.
The aroma is moderate malts, wet wood, a peated-smokey note and a point of sourness.
The flavour is roasted malts, caramel, dried fruits, nuts, quite discreet herbal hops and some sourness.
The mouthfeel is creamy, crispy and quite flat. The texture is watery.
This light to medium bodied S A has a dry malty finish.
Britt Rousse is brewed in Concarneau by the Brasserie de Bretagne. Drinkable ? Yes, but, for me , a quite anonymous faint Smoked Ale.
