Lets make it clear here, I am not a fan of the pils style and believe so many are just mass produced and too similar to each other to have any interest.
Well this started with a similar aroma of light grain and hay, with a golden straw colour and medium carbonation, all normal so far.
The initial taste was clean with a slim body and a subtle amount of bitter hops which fit the style.
There was however also an additional subtle taste here alongside the bitterness which offers a hint of fruit, perhaps apple.
This turned up the interest level and it retained its character throughout, remaining to the end without ever getting too bitter.
This beer certainly made me think about the style and it stands out from most.
