750 ml capped bottle, purchased at the brewery. Poured an unfiltered, murky, almost opaque, pale amber coloured Saison with a two fingers fine, dense and off-white foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles.
Soft carbonation. A lot of floating sediments. Good lacing.
The aroma is pale sweety malts, intense fruity, grapefruits, pineapples, oranges , flowery, camomile and spicy, cinnamon.
The flavour is heavy spicy, cinnamon, sweety malts, flowery, camomile, a large hoppy, floral, bitterness, acidic fruits, grapefruits, pineapples, oranges.
The mouthfeel is crispy and sparkling. The texture is watery. I get the sensation that the combination spices / bitterness could be a chemical creation like a medicine.
This medium bodied Saison has a lingering spicy and bitter finish.
This well refreshing Birmilla from Birrificio Trunasse, in Prov. Cuneo, is a quite odd Saison that offered a superb bitterness.
