750 ml capped bottle, as La BiObière, purchased at the brewery. Poured in the original Thiriez stemmed glass an unfiltered, murky and amber-orange coloured Bonde Ale with a generous two fingers fine, dense , pillowy and almost white foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles.
Active carbonation. Good lacing.
The aroma is yeast, pale malts, herbal hops, fruity, apples, spicy, cloves, coriander.
The flavour is yeast, grainy malts, notes of caramel, pronoucned herbal tones, mint, fruity, bananas, apples, may be a point of white pepper.
The mouthfeel is round and quite thin. The texture is oily.
This medium bodied Blonde Ale has a dry slight bitter finish.
This, now renamed, La Thiriez BIO is brewed in Esquelbecq, a small village in the French Flanders, Département Nord. This organic Bonde Ale is easy drinkable, well refreshing and well balanced ... clearly a moreish beer. I enjoyed it.
