750 ml capped bottle, purchased at the brewery. Poured in the original Northmaen 50 cl Vase an unfiltered, lightly murky and orange-copper coloured Saison with a two fingers fine, creamy and beige foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles.
Active carbonation. Some lacing.
The aroma is solid sweety malts, honey notes, herbal and flowery tones and fruity, apples.
The flavour is faint toasted malts, herbal, wood, fruity, apples, quinces and dried fruits, almonds.
The mouthfeel is light crispy, creamy, quite thick and very smooth. The texture is watery.
This light to medium Saison has a long herbal and fruity finish.
Well refreshing and easy going, Bière à la Reine des Prés is brewed by the farm-brewery Northmaen in Département Seine Maritime. Not complex, it is a pleasant gift from the Green Normandy. I enjoyed it
