330 ml long neck & capped bottle. Poured an unfiltered, hazy and reddish copper-amber coloured Belgian Tripel Style with a one finger very fine, creamy and pale beige foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles.
Soft carbonation. Some lacing.
The aroma is caramel malts, honey notes, deep floral hops, fruity, peaches, apricots, grapes.
The flavour is grainy sweety malts, caramel, honey, floral hops, some vegetables, green plants, weed and spicy, chilly, orange peels.
The mouthfeel is light crispy, creamy, fulled, bitter and velvety. The texture is oily to watery.
This full bodied Belgian Tripel Style has a long hoppy bitter finish.
This I E P A is brewed in the French Pays Basque, in Ascain, Département Pyrénées Atlantiques, Région Nouvelle-Aquitaine by the brewery Akerbeltz. It' s a quite strange Belgian Style Tripel, drinkable ( thanks ) but I could not detect any Belgian yeast and for me, all the ingredients are not playing well together. I'm not convinced.
