750 ml caged and corked bottle. Poured an unfiltered, murky and golden yellow coloured BdG with a generous one finger fine, dense, creamy and off-white foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles.
Soft carbonation. Good lacing.
The aroma is powerful sweety malts, hay, fruity, oranges, citrus and spicy notes, cloves.
The flavour is yeast, solid sweety malts, notes of honey, hay, flowery, violets, roses, fruity, peaches, apricot and spicy, licorice, pepper, cloves.
The mouthfeel is quite thick, creamy and smooth. The texture is oily.
This medium bodied Bière de Garde has a dry malty and bitter finish.
This 2 Caps Blonde is brewed a short distance away from the sea, on the Côte d' Opale between Calais and Boulogne by la Brasserie des 2 Caps.
Easy drinkable and well tasty, it's a pleasant French Bière de Garde. I enjoyed it.
